{"id":22705,"date":"2024-07-15T15:55:01","date_gmt":"2024-07-15T14:55:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/seafarersrights.org\/?p=22705"},"modified":"2024-07-15T15:57:17","modified_gmt":"2024-07-15T14:57:17","slug":"port-state-control-2024-cic-on-crew-wages-and-seafarer-employment-agreements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/seafarersrights.org\/port-state-control-2024-cic-on-crew-wages-and-seafarer-employment-agreements\/","title":{"rendered":"Port State Control \u2013 2024 CIC on Crew Wages and Seafarer Employment Agreements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Paris MoU has announced an upcoming Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on Crew Wages and Seafarer Employment Agreements under MLC from September to November 2024.\u00a0 Other PSC MoUs are expected to participate in the campaign.\u00a0 CICs run yearly and focus on an area where there is a risk of non-compliance.<\/p>\n<p>During 2023 the Paris MoU conducted, on a trial basis, Focused Inspection Campaigns (FICs) aimed at improving the effectiveness of inspection campaigns.\u00a0 These focused inspections have now been carried out on Pilot Transfer Arrangements, Electronic Chart Display Information Systems (ECDIS) and on the Galley.
